Armenia's monetary base 412.7bln in June ARKA, 08.08.2008
In June 2008, Armenia’s monetary base increased by 18.2bln AMD or 4.6% and totaled 412.7bln AMD. The RA Statistical Service reports that cash in circulation outside the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) totaled 343.3bln AMD at the end of June against 333.3bln AMD early that month.
Compulsory reserves totaled 28.6bln AMD against 26.8bln AMD late in May. Foreign-exchange compulsory reserves totaled 40bln AMD against 33.7bln AMD.
Net external assets (without privatization receipts) totaled 417.8bln AMD – a monthly increase of 8.6bln AMD. Net internal assets totaled minus 5bln AMD against 14.6bln AMD early that month (minus 18.8bln AMD early in 2008). Armenia’s monetary base decreased by 14.4bln AMD or by 3.4% from the beginning of 2008 to the end of June.
